As you are aware, COVID-19 is spreading in our community. Courts are suspending the hearing of civil cases so they can operate on a skeleton staff while still processing criminal cases, which have priority under the Constitution. Deschutes Law Group is also committed to doing our part to stop the spread of the virus while continuing to be responsive to clients and advancing the interests of our clients.
To further that effort, our offices are currently closed. Doreen and I are self isolating and working from home. We are also not having in-person meetings. I expect that these procedures will last at least two weeks. During that time, we will be receiving and responding to emails, which remains the best way to communicate with us. I have also set up a virtual meeting account with GoToMeeting, which will allow us to meet with you remotely if necessary.
We hope that these measures will help to “break the chain” of contacts that spreads the virus and thus “flatten the curve” of its spread in our community. We value our relationship with each of you and thank you for placing your trust in us. We remain committed to staying connected with you and protecting your legal rights during this epidemic.
